The Cross Keys Hotel is superbly situated in the heart of Kelso’s picturesque French-styled cobbled square. The present hotel was built in 1769, but in other forms, a Cross Keys Hotel has occupied the site since the earliest days of Scottish Coaching Inns.

Today, the hotel boast 26 bedrooms. As you might expect in a building with such historic roots, and unlike more impersonal larger chain hotels, our rooms are different shapes and sizes which adds to their individual character. We even have what we describe as a ‘delicate’ lift to all floors!

Rooms vary in size and outlook but are decorated to the same standard. Along with the usual facilities associated with a three star hotel, there is free wifi access in our rooms and complimentary mineral water. Our first floor rooms are more spacious than our standard rooms found on the second and third floors. We can also offer some family style accommodation with interconnecting rooms and a shared bathroom.
